Help

Francis wandered into our ER and after having her for the weekend one of our nurses adopted her last night but she became overwhelmed by her barking and whinning and took her this am to the downey shelter, she is great with kids, dogs cats people, please network and help get her out of the downey shelter, she has had pups, and has a great disposition. I did not know until after the fact, any ideas, any foster homes? Help

Chloe, our foster

I promise to take pics today, Chloe was being groomed from 7-8:30 pm last night and was happy but exhausted. Pinky (groomer) said that she had years of filth and dead skin on her coat. I already knew this as the poor girl smelled terrible and was so itchy. She is glowing now, smelling delicious and so pleased with herself. Of course she HATED the nail trim but actually talked and kissed after her appointment. I think she finally feels cared for!

New BHRSC Hound - Wilson (aka Ozzie)

Hello Fellow BHRSC Members,



This is an exciting time for Jason & I and of course Duke, our first basset. We just adopted our first BHRSC hound, Wilson (aka Ozzie).



Wilson has already had is first major Doc. visit, poor guy was a little sick when we first brought him home but with what the Vet gave us and some TLC, Wilson is on his way to recovery, even gaining some wait and have lots more energy.

Introducing buddy :)

Our basset hounds name is Buddy :)
He is not a rescue dog but we have owned him since he was about 3months. He has been a blessing in our lives! We love him so much... he is playful, obedient, and full of tricks! He loves going for walks but can get lazy at times and take a rest in the middle of his walks!! We love taking him to dog parks, he interacts great with all the other dogs. Help with a Puppy Issue

Hi!

My male basset, Max is now 5 months old. I have a few questions about jumping, biting and our walks.

I realize he is currently teething, but it seems every time I sit down he starts jumping on me and bites my hands and arms. I've tried pushing him off and saying "No!". Of course, he isn't having it. Buck wild chewing (cushions, paper), biting (only me) and nutty hijinx.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED

BHRSC is being overwhelmed with hounds looking for their forever homes. We have a limited number of foster families and many of our hounds must be boarded ~ It would be so much better for the hounds to wait for their forever homes in a loving, warm and friendly home. Could you make room for a homeless critter?
Please volunteer!
